Gingnam Style

Pardon the pun, I just couldn’t help myself. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂All jokes aside though, something that’s taken the highstreet by storm at the moment is gingham, at first I wasn’t so sure but I can now confirm that I am a fan. I’ve collated a list of my fave gingham garms, enjoy!

Frills frills and more frills

Another thing that’s in at the moment are frills, they’re everywhere and this colab between the two, a frilled gingham midi skirt is perfect, bang on trend. It can be worn casually during the day like the model is wearing or at night for a more dressy look. The skirt is from pull and bear and only £25.99 so a right bargain.

More frilly favourites; this super cute little crop top from missguided is perfect for summer (which is getting closer peopleee🤞🏼) it could also be paired with a black pencil skirt with some plain black heels for a sleek night time look.

Back to basics

Everyone needs some tshirts in their wardrobe, just throw on when they can’t find something to wear and this funky take on a basic tshirt is perfect for just that. It’s from bershka and under £20, go get ittttt!

Two’s company

Another one for the season ahead of us is this gorgeous matching set from Asos. Would look so cool at a festival with biker boots, suede fringe black jacket and a cute little fedora, I just love it 😩

If you’re willing to go all out I would definitely opt for this matching top and skirt from Zara, £29.99 for the set and looks amazing on 😍

Shirts and giggles

Last but not least is this adorable bell sleeved shirt from Zara, so versatile can be worn for work/college, out for meals or nights out or just during the day, a staple! 🦋🦋🦋🦋

Hope you enjoyed the read!

Birthday shenanigans

My blog has been extremely neglected over the past month or so as I’ve been manically preparing for my birthday and the dust has now settled it has finally ended so I can now discuss with you all- and breatheeeee 😅

I turned 18 on the 11th of this month, I had the best day and was truly spoilt rotten. One of my favourite presents has to be my rings from my friends, they are from Monica Vinader and I absolutely adore them 😍

I also got a gorgeous suede jacket from Zara. I personally have always been obsessed with All Saints, in particular their jackets – both leather and suede, however the price of them has made it simply impossible to get my hands on one. When I saw this jacket in Zara I was shocked as it looks just like one from All Saints. I would advise anyone who is looking to buy an expensive jacket from somewhere like All Saints to definitely have a look around in the high street as you might find a complete double at 1/5 of the price!

I can’t talk about birthday presents without mentioning my baby ❤️❤️❤️❤️:

I passed my driving test in June of this year and got an early birthday present, shout out to the best mum and dad ever!

On the my actual birthday (friday 11th) I went up to Sushi Samba with my family. First of all we went out on the terrace for some drinks with the infamous orange fairylight-lit tree.

 The restaurant is extremely high up and has a wicked view over London. The japense food in the restaurant was some of the best I have ever eaten. If you are going to go to sushi samba I would thoroughly recommend the following to try;

  1. The yellow tail taccos
  2. Tempura shrimp
  3. Beef gyoza
  4. And of course the cocktailssss🍸

On Friday I ordered a handmade top from @lotties_designs, it looked so cool paired with waxy jeans, a leather jacket and some wedges. I cannot recommend her highly enough, she’s brilliant, so so talented. You can order one from her now and use the code – ella10 to receive 10% off!

The next day I went up to Shaka Zulu in Camden, it’s a South African themed restaurant and club. If you haven’t been there I would definitely recommend it, the atmosphere is amazing, the music is brilliant and the drinks are even better. We got a table right by the dance floor and had a great time.

Festival chic

I would just like to apologise for my lack of blogs recently, I have been working non-stop🤒 but do not worry me and the blogs are back for good now😎.

Unfortunately, festival season is drawing to a close and it is in my opinion, the best time of year, so this saddens my heart.. ☹️ ☹️ ☹️ ☹️

BUT I have one festival left to attend and I am in the process of piecing my outfit together. I am undecided on a few items so I thought I would do a blog on what have been my favourite festival trends of this year and try make my mind up.

Diamonds are a girls best friend, and so are sequins. This year I have seen a lot of sequins at festivals and I love it. I’ve had a little snoop on the web and found these treasures.

The bomber from ASOS is too cute and could be worn on a night out to bring a bit of life to a dull outfit.

How adorable is the tie up pink crop top from ASOS😍 would look perfect with some high waisted shorts or a denim skirt and layered silver necklaces- I loveeeeee!

If you’re anything like me and are too lazy to find separate parts to an outfit and piece it all together, why not take the easy option and get something like this gorgeous pastel yellow playsuit from missguided. This would look gorgeous with a gold body chain to fill the deep v neck line (An action pic or a boomerang in this outfit would look super cool on your insta, just saying).

Lingerie lingerie lingerie. I love this trend, this would look gorgeous with a khaki or black shirt dress open just where you can see the bra with a chunky choker.

Another look that I have loved is mesh. This mesh bomber from missy empire is something else! I personally, am a huge fan of bomber jackets and the mesh fabric is perfect for summer as it isn’t too hot to wear.

Badges. Badges are everywhere at the moment, they bring a fun quirky look to a boring denim item, for example jeans, shorts, a jacket, etc.

All choked up. There are so many chokers out at the moment that I adore, whether they’re simple chains, thicker velvet ribbons or tie up ropes, there’s always one that you can find to go with your outfit.

Back street living

Tarifa you have been unbelievable. I like to think of myself as a hippy at heart and if you do too then I cannot recommend Tarifa enough. In general it is a beautiful place; with stunning beaches that stretch for miles, delicious food and lovely people.

We stayed in Hotel Aristoy which is found in the centre of the town on a backstreet. The hotel has a little courtyard outside of it which you can eat dinner in at night😍 as you can see in the picture the centre of the hotel is open aired and there is a tree growing up through it, how cute is that?

On the roof of the hotel there is a pool which looks over the entire town. Round the corner from us was another hotel where our friends were staying, it had the coolest little bar attached to it that did amazing cocktails and if you stayed in the hotel this is where you had breakfast.

Tarifa is by far one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to, the vibe there is out of this world: at night especially, the streets are rammed with people until the early hours. Restaurants and bars literally serve from holes in the walls to the hundreds of people in the streets and the food they sell is to die for.

Lastly but certainly by no means least.. The shopping. I could have quite literally spent my entire life’s savings there in about an hour. If you like jewellery, like me, you would have been in heaven

Even the shops themselves were gorgeous, I could have spent my whole three weeks holiday there and still wanted more time to shop! The hippy ethos of the town is reflected in all of the shops

Dream catcher goalllls

Every shop was filled with delightful little bits and bobs and left me feeling like I needed to rob a bank in order to buy more stuff.

Time to share my new purchases😆 this whole outfit tho, this teal colours maxi off the shoulder dress and these two necklaces💚💚💚💚💚💚 I love

And then this grey leather tasseled choker I bought from a stall on the beach in Tarifa 😍 cannot wait to wear these lot out.

Tarifa you have my heart, until next time..

Under wraps

On my day off I’ve had plenty of time to people watch down at the beach and see what everyone is wearing. I took some inspiration from the beach and did some research for some affordable beach cover ups for you all to enjoy

First is the pale pink two piece from asos, you could wear this on the beach and I would also wear this on a night out on holiday as it is incredibly flattering and also a light weight material so won’t be uncomfortable and leave you feeling to hot.

Another two piece that caught my eye was this gorgeous tie dye kimono and shorts from asos – I love a bit of asos if you haven’t already noticed. I adore the colours in these they’re so pretty and compliment a tan as you can see in the picture. Having the kimono allows you to keep cool on the beach and feel the breeze from the sea 🌊🌊🌊🌊🌊

In love with this. Sheer white lace play suit from missguided is unreal; it would be perfect on the beach as it is light weight but it would also look amazing at a festival with a bralet and little shorts underneath with layered jewellery over the top 😍

Aqua heavennnn💙💚💙💚               This knitted dress from missguided is too cute and just like the play suit before could be worn both at a festival or on the beach. I personally would pair this with black accessories to keep the focus on the dress.

Lastly are these stunning beach skirts. The first tie dye skirt is from boohoo and could be worn out or down on the beach. The colours are gorgeous and can be worn with a variety of bikinis as there are different colours running through the skirt.

The second collection of skirts are from @rubysboutique on Instagram. They are so flattering on and cinch you in at the waist perfectly, they offer a range of colours and would be perfect for your holidays.

White party

When packing your bags for your hols a white item of clothing should always be in there. Whether it’s a kaftan, bikini, dress or top you should always have at least one up your sleeve. White looks simply stunning on holiday as it exentuates your tan that you’ve been working so hard for. Below I’ve listed some favourites of mine that I’ve spotted recently.

As a kaftan obsessive and a lover of a pop of colour this is heaven to me. This open back kaftan from is something I’ve had my eye on for a long time, this one in particular is £100 which is quite pricey for something to wear down to the beach, but I have seen this style in boutiques for as cheep as £40!

This hippyfied off the shoulder maxi dress from River Island is so elegant and paired with the right gladiators and jewellery you’ll be left looking like a bohemian goddess.

Outfit goalllllllls😍 This entire ensemble from Pretty Little Thing is so cool, I love it. The pastel jacket and boots bring a girlie vibe to a rough and ready biker chic look – this would be perfect for festivals or a night out.

How cute is this little lace tie up blouse from Never Fully Dressed? It would be gorgeous on holiday with a ragged pair of denim shorts, a choker and some cowboy boots!

Hope you’re all enjoying the blog – I certainly am!
