Gingnam Style

Pardon the pun, I just couldn’t help myself. ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚All jokes aside though, something that’s taken the highstreet by storm at the moment is gingham, at first I wasn’t so sure but I can now confirm that I am a fan. I’ve collated a list of my fave gingham garms, enjoy!

Frills frills and more frills

Another thing that’s in at the moment are frills, they’re everywhere and this colab between the two, a frilled gingham midi skirt is perfect, bang on trend. It can be worn casually during the day like the model is wearing or at night for a more dressy look. The skirt is from pull and bear and only ยฃ25.99 so a right bargain.

More frilly favourites; this super cute little crop top from missguided is perfect for summer (which is getting closer peopleee๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ) it could also be paired with a black pencil skirt with some plain black heels for a sleek night time look.

Back to basics

Everyone needs some tshirts in their wardrobe, just throw on when they can’t find something to wear and this funky take on a basic tshirt is perfect for just that. It’s from bershka and under ยฃ20, go get ittttt!

Two’s company

Another one for the season ahead of us is this gorgeous matching set from Asos. Would look so cool at a festival with biker boots, suede fringe black jacket and a cute little fedora, I just love it ๐Ÿ˜ฉ

If you’re willing to go all out I would definitely opt for this matching top and skirt from Zara, ยฃ29.99 for the set and looks amazing on ๐Ÿ˜

Shirts and giggles

Last but not least is this adorable bell sleeved shirt from Zara, so versatile can be worn for work/college, out for meals or nights out or just during the day, a staple! ๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿฆ‹๐Ÿฆ‹

Hope you enjoyed the read!

Line of duty

One of the latest trends at the moment is sporty stripes; on jumpers, trousers, shoes, you name it, there’s a stripe on it.

Top hits

If you hadn’t already gathered the colour red and I have a special relationship, I tend to gravitate towards it when shopping and this was no exception. This zip up sweatshirt from Pull and Bear is the epitome of the sport luxe look, I adore it.

Something else that has recently caught me eye is this unbelievable oversized sweatshirt from Zara. The added stripe of baby pink fur makes me love it even more ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

Bottom half

My favourite of the whole craze would be the striped trouser, there are many different types to suit all different body shapes, from loose fitting palazzo trousers to figure hugging cigarette pants.

Obsessed over the whole monochrome theme of this Pull and Bear outfit. The matching jacket brings a sporty, casual tracksuit vibe to a simple yet stylish look and it would be super comfy – bonusssssssss๐Ÿคค

(Both from Asos) a pop of colour through the stripe, paired with a basic white tee and funky little trainers is a cute little outfit for out and about during the day.

A night time alternative, still supporting the sporty spice look would be a wider fitting jogger with a sexy split paired with a cropped top and some strappy heels. Both pairs of trousers are from Missguided so they’re super affordable and definitely worth the ยฃยฃยฃยฃยฃ.

If you’re feeling extra daring you could try something like this ensemble from Asos by pairing stripe on stripe ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜

Head to toe

Stripes can be as subtle as this simple strip of red on these leather plimsoles from Zara, I love these because they’re classic, they can be worn with practically anything and can be worn casually or for a more smart occasion also.

They may not be everyone’s cup of tea but I am a huge fan of these platform brogues and bluchers, they’re a fun take on a smart and formal shoe – the brogue, here a few of my faves.

Hope you enjoyed the read, happy shoppingggg! ๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ•บ๐Ÿป

Guess who’s back…

The blog has been put on the back burner for the past 4 months and I blame this solely on A Levels!!!!!! The last two years have truly been the most stressful and difficult of my life – so far – but it will all be worth it in August (hopefully๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคž๐Ÿผ๐Ÿ€)
I have been scrolling past the WordPress app and felt extremely guilty for the neglect I have bestowed upon my blog and I’m keen to right my wrongs. I’m sure we all know that London Fashion Week Festival is upon us and it is a good a time as any to kick start this thing again. I have chosen to share with you all a few of the styles and pieces I am currently obsessing over.

Nightwear to Outwear

Something I’ve seen over Instagram a lot recently is lingerie worn out on show and I for one am loving it, it gives a sexy look to a once dull outfit. The likes of Kim And Khloe K are supporting this look with skin tight jeans and a pair of killer heels, my personal fave is this look; embellished boyfriend jeans with an oversized velvet bomber jacket and some suede booties to match

The bigger the better

I’m all about comfort, if I’m going to wear an outfit for a long period of time I want it to be comfortable and I’m sure you can imagine my excitement when oversized sweatshirts and jumpers started to fill all of the high street shops. A look used in displays in a lot of shops I’ve been in recently is a sweatshirt placed over a white shirt with some ripped jeans I love this take on a preppy look. Another jumper ensemble I’m liking at the moment is an oversized jumper paired with boot heels, again a casual yet sexy look that requires minimal effort – perfect! Here are some of my favourites;

This yeezy inspired look from pretty little thing would be great for a night out, plus it comes in a range of colours and under ยฃ20๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘๐Ÿค‘

In love with this sweatshirt from Pull and Bear, especially with the corset detailing – sexy sweats what’s not to love๐Ÿคค๐Ÿคค

Denim takeover
Denim denim denim. It’s everywhere you can’t escape it (not that I’m complaining) so you might as well embrace it. The specific denim I want to talk about are denim jackets, they have well and truly made a come back. The reason why I love denim jackets are because they are versatile; they can be worn both casually and on a night out. They’re pretty much in every shop at the moment so finding them won’t be the challenge, it’s choosing which one out of the possible 200 that will be the struggle.

If you feel like you can’t go for a denim jacket as you’re worried it’s a bit too edgey looking I would opt for this one, as its a light denim and smothered in sequins bringing a girly vibe to a more tom boy look, transforming you into a grunge princess ๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘ธ๐Ÿป

I couldn’t do a blog post without mentioning my newly purchased babies;

For months and months I have wanted the Alexander McQueen platform trainers but just couldn’t bring myself to splash over ยฃ300 for a pair of trainers๐Ÿ’”. So I resorted to searching the highstreet high and low to find the next best thing, leading me to these beauties in Pull and Bear in the sale for …. ยฃ9.99. They are practically identical to the Mcqueens for a fraction of the price tag and I am obsessed!

Hot spots

Like most people I am a die hard Zara fan and can safely say around 2/3 of my wardrobe is probably from Zara, this pains my heart (and also my bank account). However my recent discovery has slightly lifted my spirits, as I’m sure you can tell from the post, there is a lot of stuff from Pull and Bear that I am loving at the moment as it is similar to clothes you would find in Zara and this is because they are owned by the same company (here comes the good part) the clothes in shops like Pull and Bear, Stradivarius and Bershka are very similar if not the same style however they are a considerable amount cheaper than ones found in Zara, so for the sake of your bank account do some hunting around before you pig out in Zara

Again, I apologise for neglecting my blog and I promise to make this a more regular thing from now on!
Happy shoppingggg๐Ÿ‘›๐Ÿ‘›๐Ÿ‘›๐Ÿ‘›๐Ÿ‘›๐Ÿ‘›๐Ÿ‘›

Birthday shenanigansย

My blog has been extremely neglected over the past month or so as I’ve been manically preparing for my birthday and the dust has now settled it has finally ended so I can now discuss with you all- and breatheeeee ๐Ÿ˜…

I turned 18 on the 11th of this month, I had the best day and was truly spoilt rotten. One of my favourite presents has to be my rings from my friends, they are from Monica Vinader and I absolutely adore them ๐Ÿ˜

I also got a gorgeous suede jacket from Zara. I personally have always been obsessed with All Saints, in particular their jackets – both leather and suede, however the price of them has made it simply impossible to get my hands on one. When I saw this jacket in Zara I was shocked as it looks just like one from All Saints. I would advise anyone who is looking to buy an expensive jacket from somewhere like All Saints to definitely have a look around in the high street as you might find a complete double at 1/5 of the price!

I can’t talk about birthday presents without mentioning my baby โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ:

I passed my driving test in June of this year and got an early birthday present, shout out to the best mum and dad ever!

On the my actual birthday (friday 11th) I went up to Sushi Samba with my family. First of all we went out on the terrace for some drinks with the infamous orange fairylight-lit tree.

 The restaurant is extremely high up and has a wicked view over London. The japense food in the restaurant was some of the best I have ever eaten. If you are going to go to sushi samba I would thoroughly recommend the following to try;

  1. The yellow tail taccos
  2. Tempura shrimp
  3. Beef gyoza
  4. And of course the cocktailssss๐Ÿธ

On Friday I ordered a handmade top from @lotties_designs, it looked so cool paired with waxy jeans, a leather jacket and some wedges. I cannot recommend her highly enough, she’s brilliant, so so talented. You can order one from her now and use the code – ella10 to receive 10% off!

The next day I went up to Shaka Zulu in Camden, it’s a South African themed restaurant and club. If you haven’t been there I would definitely recommend it, the atmosphere is amazing, the music is brilliant and the drinks are even better. We got a table right by the dance floor and had a great time.

In the nudeย

September has got to the most depressing month of them all , back to school time. In a way to escape my responsibilities and endless amount of work, I have been doing a lot of mooching around and have noticed there is a lot of nude around and I love it.

It’s pretty much every girls dream to own a pair of loubs, in my opinion if you’re going to splash the cash you’re better off buying a classic, like a nude court heel. You can pretty much guarantee they will not go out of fashion so are definitely worth the money. Obviously, if you want the loub look without the loub price tag this is very doable, I have seen ones very similar in shops such as Topshop.

As we’re heading into autumn now, everyone needs a comfy two piece to keep them warm – and even better if its oozes style like this co-ord from ASOS. You can wear the two together  and pair them with trainers for an edgey daytime look or separately with jeans or a delicate top and dainty sandal heels for a night out.

I have never really been one for girly tight dresses, personally I prefer a oversized tshirt with thigh high boots giving a sexy tomboyish grunge look. The left tshirt dress from missguided would be perfect for the day time paired with a khaki bomber jacket and some adidas superstars ๐Ÿ˜. The suede dress from Hot Mess clothing matched with the thigh high boots is toooo unreal, gimme gimme gimmeeeeee

Have had my eyes on these for a very long time but never bought them, now they’re out of stock unfortunately, when they’re back I will definitely be purchasing. These stoney coloured Nike mayfly wovens are amazing, they’re so unusual, unlike none I’ve seen ๐Ÿ˜

Lastly, this elegant tie up blouse from pretty little thing is simply stunning, paired with jeans in the day or cigarette pants with some heels in the evening would look gorgeous.

Enjoy these nude goodies

Festival chic

I would just like to apologise for my lack of blogs recently, I have been working non-stop๐Ÿค’ but do not worry me and the blogs are back for good now๐Ÿ˜Ž.

Unfortunately, festival season is drawing to a close and it is in my opinion, the best time of year, so this saddens my heart.. โ˜น๏ธ โ˜น๏ธ โ˜น๏ธ โ˜น๏ธ

BUT I have one festival left to attend and I am in the process of piecing my outfit together. I am undecided on a few items so I thought I would do a blog on what have been my favourite festival trends of this year and try make my mind up.

Diamonds are a girls best friend, and so are sequins. This year I have seen a lot of sequins at festivals and I love it. I’ve had a little snoop on the web and found these treasures.

The bomber from ASOS is too cute and could be worn on a night out to bring a bit of life to a dull outfit.

How adorable is the tie up pink crop top from ASOS๐Ÿ˜ would look perfect with some high waisted shorts or a denim skirt and layered silver necklaces- I loveeeeee!

If you’re anything like me and are too lazy to find separate parts to an outfit and piece it all together, why not take the easy option and get something like this gorgeous pastel yellow playsuit from missguided. This would look gorgeous with a gold body chain to fill the deep v neck line (An action pic or a boomerang in this outfit would look super cool on your insta, just saying).

Lingerie lingerie lingerie. I love this trend, this would look gorgeous with a khaki or black shirt dress open just where you can see the bra with a chunky choker.

Another look that I have loved is mesh. This mesh bomber from missy empire is something else! I personally, am a huge fan of bomber jackets and the mesh fabric is perfect for summer as it isn’t too hot to wear.

Badges. Badges are everywhere at the moment, they bring a fun quirky look to a boring denim item, for example jeans, shorts, a jacket, etc.

All choked up. There are so many chokers out at the moment that I adore, whether they’re simple chains, thicker velvet ribbons or tie up ropes, there’s always one that you can find to go with your outfit.

Back street livingย

Tarifa you have been unbelievable. I like to think of myself as a hippy at heart and if you do too then I cannot recommend Tarifa enough. In general it is a beautiful place; with stunning beaches that stretch for miles, delicious food and lovely people.

We stayed in Hotel Aristoy which is found in the centre of the town on a backstreet. The hotel has a little courtyard outside of it which you can eat dinner in at night๐Ÿ˜ as you can see in the picture the centre of the hotel is open aired and there is a tree growing up through it, how cute is that?

On the roof of the hotel there is a pool which looks over the entire town. Round the corner from us was another hotel where our friends were staying, it had the coolest little bar attached to it that did amazing cocktails and if you stayed in the hotel this is where you had breakfast.

Tarifa is by far one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever been to, the vibe there is out of this world: at night especially, the streets are rammed with people until the early hours. Restaurants and bars literally serve from holes in the walls to the hundreds of people in the streets and the food they sell is to die for.

Lastly but certainly by no means least.. The shopping. I could have quite literally spent my entire life’s savings there in about an hour. If you like jewellery, like me, you would have been in heaven

Even the shops themselves were gorgeous, I could have spent my whole three weeks holiday there and still wanted more time to shop! The hippy ethos of the town is reflected in all of the shops

Dream catcher goalllls

Every shop was filled with delightful little bits and bobs and left me feeling like I needed to rob a bank in order to buy more stuff.

Time to share my new purchases๐Ÿ˜† this whole outfit tho, this teal colours maxi off the shoulder dress and these two necklaces๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’š I love

And then this grey leather tasseled choker I bought from a stall on the beach in Tarifa ๐Ÿ˜ cannot wait to wear these lot out.

Tarifa you have my heart, until next time..

In the shadeย

There is nothing worse than being out in the sun without a pair of sunnies. You’re left squinting and eventually will get a headache so it’s always best to have at least one pair at hand. There are many styles on offer on both the high street and high end and some styles suit certain shaped faces/facial features more than others, it’s all about experimenting and seeing what looks best on you.

You can find these on Instagram, they offer a huge range of glasses that are all different shapes and also different colour lenses, some mirrored some not. A lot of the styles they offer are similar to designer shades but with a high street price tag. They aren’t expensive, with the prices ranging from ยฃ10-ยฃ30, so if you’re anything like me and struggle to pick one pair, you can get more than one and it won’t make too much of a hole in your pocket.

Getting a bit more expensive are these rounded glasses from Ray Ban found on asos. I love this shape and I love the frame as it isn’t too thick. These are all very trendy and would be perfect for festivals.

Next is this gorgeous pair of Cรจline sunglasses I first spotted on a friend of mine. She wore them to We R festival with an all black outfit and they looked unreal. If you don’t mind splashing out on accessories then I would definitely purchase these.

Talk about sunglasses envy๐Ÿ˜ Quay australia are definitely my new fave for sunglasses. They have a range of “out there” quirky pairs of glasses which I absolutely adore and the top right purple pair are definitely going to be up there on my list of things to purchase ๐Ÿ˜ˆ๐Ÿ”ฎ๐Ÿ’œ

Let me know of anywhere you find that do cool sunnies, I’d love  to add to my collection!

Under wrapsย

On my day off I’ve had plenty of time to people watch down at the beach and see what everyone is wearing. I took some inspiration from the beach and did some research for some affordable beach cover ups for you all to enjoy

First is the pale pink two piece from asos, you could wear this on the beach and I would also wear this on a night out on holiday as it is incredibly flattering and also a light weight material so won’t be uncomfortable and leave you feeling to hot.

Another two piece that caught my eye was this gorgeous tie dye kimono and shorts from asos – I love a bit of asos if you haven’t already noticed. I adore the colours in these they’re so pretty and compliment a tan as you can see in the picture. Having the kimono allows you to keep cool on the beach and feel the breeze from the sea ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ๐ŸŒŠ

In love with this. Sheer white lace play suit from missguided is unreal; it would be perfect on the beach as it is light weight but it would also look amazing at a festival with a bralet and little shorts underneath with layered jewellery over the top ๐Ÿ˜

Aqua heavennnn๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š               This knitted dress from missguided is too cute and just like the play suit before could be worn both at a festival or on the beach. I personally would pair this with black accessories to keep the focus on the dress.

Lastly are these stunning beach skirts. The first tie dye skirt is from boohoo and could be worn out or down on the beach. The colours are gorgeous and can be worn with a variety of bikinis as there are different colours running through the skirt.

The second collection of skirts are from @rubysboutique on Instagram. They are so flattering on and cinch you in at the waist perfectly, they offer a range of colours and would be perfect for your holidays.

Golden glowย

Everyone wants a golden glow – especially during the summer, here are a few of my golden faves at the moment.

First, is this adorable little coin purse from Stella McCartney. I’ve always loved Stella bags and this is no exception, it is a practical size for a night out as you can fit your money, cards and a lipstick inside. The colour is gorgeous and the snakes skin texture makes it even better.

Next is a little make up hack. Highlighter is one of my favourite pieces of make up, I previously had the high beam highlighter by benefit but picked up sun beam in the airport and as I’m beginning to get a tan on my face it looks lovely and natural and give you a healthy glow. I personally apply highlighter to the high points of my cheekbones and underneath my brow bone.

My favourite of the bunch is this tie up midi dress from never fully dressed, it looks gorgeous paired with heels as seen in the picture but also would look lovely with a pair of gladiator sandals on holiday. You could also wear this to a festival with some cowboy boots and some layered gold necklaces.

These gold tie up sandals from office are perfect for holiday, they aren’t overly expensive and will go with loads, you can wear them with maxi dresses, shorts etc.

Anyone who knows me well knows that I’m partial to a bit of jewellery.  I’m constantly buying little bits and bobs, I brought more jewellery than clothes with me on holiday ๐Ÿ˜‚ before I came away I purchased a few little gold pieces to add to my collection:

They’re all from topshop and were half price. Get buying your gold gems ready for summer..
